Cardiff fans are used to second half captulations by the team, but it is still annoying. For the fans who travelled up to Brentford yesterday night it was a disapointing night. Despite dominating the first half we once againg failed to convert our chances. In the second half Brentford seemed to want the win more than us, and were worthy winners.
The first goal of the game came in the nineteenth minute when Jason Bowen glanced home a Kavanagh free kick. This made up for a terribly poor effort that he had mustered minutes before when through on goal.
Despite totally dominating the first half we failed to put the ball in the back of the net again. Mike Simpkins and Rhys Weston were terrible when coming forward and Danny Gabbidon was looking a bit ruffled by Brentfords two big men Loyd Owusu and Ben Burgess.
In the second half the wheels seemed to come off for Cardiff, and it was only a matter of time before we lost the game. Gabbidon was totally overun by the Brentford strikers and Simpkins and Weston completely dropped out the game.
