Two Andy Campbell goals salvaged Cardiff a point but it is becoming very clear that the performances of the team need to improve. Campbells goals on 30 and 66 minutes cancelled out the two goals that Blackpools John Murphy had scored on 19 and 27 minutes.
Cambpells firsty goal was scored from six yards, and the equaliser was a spectacular goal scored with a volley from 25 yards. Campbells strike partner Peter Thorne was guilty of missing several chances, one of which was guilt edged. This came on a day when former striker Kevin Nugent who is a similar kind of player had a good game for Leyton Orient and was instrumental in winning them the penalty that they went ahead with.
The result leaves Cardiff in eight place, we are two points behind Huddersfield who currently occupy the last play off place, but we have played one more game.
