Cardiff kept up their pursuit of a promotion place with an emphatic 4-0 thrashing of Second Division strugglers Huddersfield this afternoon.

The Bluebirds ran out comfortable winners at Ninian Park with Jason Bowen and Robert Earnshaw both grabbing two goals apiece.

Bowen set the home side on the way after 19 minutes with Earnshaw firing home the second just before the break.

Things got even worse for rock-bottom Town when Danny Schofield was sent off for a second bookable offence in first-half injury time. Bowen and Earnshaw then rubbed salt in the wounds by doubling the score in the second period.
