Scott Young rescued a point for promotion hopefuls Cardiff City in a hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to QPR.

Young headed the ball home after Andy Legg's long throw was not cleared by the Rangers defence.

Ian Holloway's side took the lead in the 11th minute when Richard Pacquette raced clear of the Bluebirds defence to coolly slot the ball home.

But Rangers' goalscoring hero was sent off for his second bookable offence and Holloway ordered from the dug-out for protesting against the decision.
