There seems to be no challenge that Robert Earnshaw cannot rise to. Todays game was billed as the showdown between two of the leagues hottest properties.
Nathan Ellington v Robert Earnshaw was the battle everyone was watching, and it was won by Cardiffs Zambian prince. He put City ahead in the first half, and then scored to salvage a point just minutes from time.
In between Earnshaws goals, Wigan had taken the lead through Tony Dinning on 26 minutes, and then Ellington on 28 minutes.
Earnshaws first goal came on 19 minutes, and was a well taken volley from just 6 yards, however Wigan then hit back.
Tony Dinning equalised on 26 with a left foot thunderbolt from 18 yards, and then Ellington scored a 6 yard tap in just 2 minutes later, after Alexander had been unable to hold onto Dinnings shot.
Cardiff left it late to equalise, but when they did it was Earnshaw again, he put in from 6 yards after a Gary Croft cross.
